Photo Session

I took the boys out the door for a fun fall photo session. The weekend before my niece Maddy was here and I snapped a few of her too. Here are a few of my favorites.

The end to our crazy summer brought a fun little mini-vacation to Coure D' Alene and surrounding area. We played in the water A LOT since the temps were in the 100's. Coure D' Alene Lake had Kaleb convinced that it was an ocean. They loved the sand and water and sun and fun. We went to Silverwood Theme Park and played at the splash park all afternoon and then finished it off with a few kiddie rides. It was wonderful to get away for some fun - especially after having gone through a marathon summer of transition. We let the boys pick out a toy at Toys R Us and they were so impressed and overwhelmed with the experience. They got it narrowed down finally after a lot of time in there and both ended up picking a remote controlled excavator.

2nd Year Celebration

Our little boy turned 2 on August 26th. We celebrated with a cake, which he ate none of, and then went on a 4 day mini-vacation to Coure D' Alene playing in the lake, taking in Silverwood and the Splash Park, eating out and just enjoying the 100 degree weather at the end of a crazy-busy summer.

An early September trip up Branham Lakes to do a little fishing and playing in the lake....absolutely stunning!

PK1 Flag Football

Coach Eric and Mike (my brother) took on the task of coaching the Panther's PK1 team this fall. Kaleb was an active participant until he ran the ball during the first game and got his flag pulled. From that moment on he wouldn't participate. We weren't exactly sure why he wouldn't play any longer until the last game when he said he didn't want anyone "taking his flag." So, for the last game we convinced him to play defense and not wear a flag. It wasn't the reaction we expected from Kaleb. We thought his competitive and athletic spirit would kick in and he would love playing football......but that wasn't the case.....this year.

"Dad, would you cuddle me up?"

"I'm going to light smoke bombs and nutcrackers."

"I'm gonna tell daddy he loves chicken fried on a Friday night."

Thunder pops, Kaleb runs inside. I stay on the porch. Kaleb shouts, "Mom, get in here and pre-tect me."

"Look at that paint horse, it's very sim-ee-ler to mine."

"Oooooohhh, my best friend Dylan buddy is gone."

"There's a skunk bird." pointing to a magpie.

"Oooohhh, mama burnt my banana" in response to his slightly ripened banana in his lunch pail.

"Hola Amigo!" "Where did you learn that?" I say.
"I dunno....Maybe DORA!!!"

Kaleb's version of Itsty Bitsy Spider: "The itsy bitsy fider went up the water fout. Down came the rain and washed the fider out...."

"Will dad be home in a few whiles?"

"If we get a ladder we could pick all dem stars down."

"Namo is a good cooker faghetti maker."

"Daddy's tile saw is loud. Daddy's suppressor (compressor) is really a lot louder but it really sprays air that cleans daddy's music box." (his work radio)

Kaleb is eating lunch. "You were starvin' marvin'," I say. He replies back, "I'm not Marvin. I'm Kaleb Thomas Schuller."

"I love dirt." {wind stirs up dirt} "Mom, I hate dust!"

"Mom, can I please have a snack?" Me: "No Kaleb, we're going to have dinner in a minute." Kaleb: "Please mom, just a little shnick-tay?"

Kaleb goes into the bathroom to go potty after recently receiving a spank. "Dad, is my fanking still there?"

"I need a drink. I'm really hydrated!"

Kaleb wakes up from a nap and notices my toenails painted. "Mom, your toes are gorgeous."

While playing outside the sun comes out from behind a cloud. "Oh, there's the sun. I love the sun mom. It makes me feel sooo much better."

Deciding whether to go outside or not he looks out the window. "It's not too bad windy out."

While listening to 'A Ring of Fire' Kaleb says, "Johnny Cash is dead, but his music still lives."

"God is coming over to play with me today." "Really," I say rather surprised because we had not been talking about this subject. "Yes, and he has big whiskers and he's bringing a gun."
